Job Opening: Steel Fabricator

Immediately 3rd Shift Temp-to-Hire Steel Fabricator Jobs in Carlisle, IA!

Pay: $24.00-$27.00/ hour (DOE)

Hours: 6:00pm-6:00am (Monday – Thursday)
*Ability to train on days 2-4 weeks

Duties:

• Monitor inventory and submit orders as needed
• Inspect and maintain tools, equipment and machinery
• Unload and position prefabricated steel units for hoisting
• Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts
• Fasten structural steel members to hoist cables, using chains, cables, or rope
• Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, or welding equipment
• Fabricate steel frames, columns, beams, or girders
• Measure, cut and bend rebar
• Examine work pieces and defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.

Requirements:

• 2-year trade school preferred or equivalent experience (4 years)
• Stick and wire welding experience
• Ability to read blueprints
• Position could involve working outdoors in all weather conditions including extreme heat or cold
