  • Experience applying lean concepts such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, or 5S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.

  • Professional certifications such as CPIM, CSCP, APICS, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma Green Belt.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely, data-driven decisions.

Remedy Staffing has an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Purchasing Manager for one of our awesome partners. The Assistant Purchasing Manager will be responsible for assisting the Purchasing Manager in managing and coordinating the purchasing activities of the plant.

Pay: $30.00

Shift: 1st Shift

Job duties consist of but are not limited to the following:

  • Must have experience in food industry 
  • Raw materials inventory control (Estimating / Calculating usage over 500 different types of raw materials for future’s and ordering to suppliers, and checking if inventory is covered with our production demand)
  • Negotiating with vendors/supplier to secure the best princes and terms (Price, Lead time, Quality Issues)
  • Train and supervise purchasing personnel to ensure efficient operations
  • Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and inventory control
  • New business development for local or foreign suppliers
  • Assistant for planning production schedule of plant
  • Check inventory and analyze variance for Monthly / Annual closing
  • Maintain production / raw materials information in company database
  • Assistant for buying and supplying raw materials to new production lines

Working Location:

  • Far South in Von Ormy, TX

Working Schedule:

  • The hours for this position are typically business hours, however, we may require some schedule alterations periodically due to end of week, month, quarter, or year reporting.

Remedy Staffing is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. This position typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

Pay: 18.00 

Hours: Day Shift 

Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities:

    • Experience working in warehouse/shipping is preferable
    • Working with Truck Drivers
    • Computer skills – Microsoft Office and something like SAP, JD Edwards, etc.
    • Speak English, Spanish a plus
    • Good communication skills
    • Good organizational skills
    • Remains patient and calm during stressful situations
    • Willing to do what it takes to get the job done and assist others if able to do so
    • Work Scheduled Sun – Fri 6pm to 6am (depending on individual and level of experience, we may be a bit negotiable on the work hours)
