Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule
- Monday through Friday: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Overtime may be required:
- Friday and Saturday: 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Industrial Sandblaster to join our team in Tyler, TX. Previous sandblasting experience is not required; however, candidates must possess a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to safety and quality.
The Industrial Sandblaster is responsible for preparing surfaces for painting and coating applications by removing dirt, paint, grease, rust, and other materials using blasting equipment. This position operates in a fast-paced industrial environment and requires attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Remove dirt, paint, grease, rust, and other built-up materials from surfaces to prepare items for painting or coating.
- Set up and operate a blast booth and related blasting equipment.
- Load and unload blast cabinets and work materials.
- Assist with painting and coating operations as needed.
- Apply and remove non-skid materials when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
Qualifications
- Experience is not required; training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office or similar systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervisor direction.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, twist, turn, reach, and grasp frequently throughout the shift.
- Must be capable of safely operating machinery and equipment.
- Good physical health and ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an industrial setting.
