Position: Full-time, HR Coordinator
Location: Honolulu

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch break), 32–40 hours per week
Pay: $22-$25 per hour (depends on experience)

The HR Coordinator is a detail-oriented and organized professional who supports the full recruitment, onboarding, and employee administration process. This role is responsible for coordinating hiring activities, processing new hire paperwork, conducting employment verifications and reference checks, maintaining employee records, and providing administrative support to Human Resources operations. The ideal candidate will have prior human resources experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting positions, scheduling interviews, and supporting the hiring process for research and professional staff.
- Conduct employment verifications, reference checks, and other pre-employment screening activities.
- Manage and coordinate all onboarding activities, ensuring new hires complete required documentation and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and maintain employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation.
- Process new hire, employee status change, and termination paperwork.
- Assist with employee orientation and onboarding training coordination.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now to maintain employee information and support HR transactions.
- Provide administrative support for HR programs, policies, and procedures.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR processes and employment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational employment requirements.
- Support additional HR and back-office functions as assigned.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of human resources, recruiting, onboarding, or administrative experience preferred.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
