Job Opening: Material Handler

Materials Handler – Tallahassee, FL

Pay: $18.00/hour

Schedule: 6AM – 2PM

Duration: Long-term

Job Summary:

A local manufacturing company is seeking a Materials Handler to support warehouse and production operations. This role involves moving materials throughout the warehouse, production floor, and external locations. Responsibilities include inventory control, picking/packing, stock replenishment, unloading deliveries, and handling shipments through carriers such as UPS, DHL, FedEx, and LTL freight.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate inventory and track material movement
• Distribute raw materials to production as needed
• Follow FIFO procedures and perform cycle counts
• Coordinate material transport with third-party logistics providers
• Receive, package, and ship orders using standard and expedited methods
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Follow quality, safety, and environmental guidelines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1–3 months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1+ year of forklift or lift truck experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
• Ability to pass a vision screening

Preferred:

• 2+ years of warehouse or materials handling experience
• Experience with ERP systems and handheld scanners
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to follow written SOPs
