Position: Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Honolulu

Salary: $85,000- $100,000 annually, depending on experience

Financial institution seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join a growing finance and accounting team. This role will serve as a key contributor in preparing financial reporting, analyzing performance trends, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial reports, including financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Analyze financial results and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Partner with accounting, finance, and operational teams to assess reporting impacts of business activities and complex transactions.
• Assist with external audits, examinations, and reporting requests.
• Develop and document financial reporting procedures and best practices.
• Utilize financial systems and data analysis tools to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or finance experience
• Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements and performing variance analysis
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI, SQL, or similar data analytics platforms preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to various audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
