Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour (depends on experience)

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented HR Specialist to support and enhance the daily functions of the Human Resources department. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional with a strong background in benefits administration, payroll processing, and employee relations. The HR Specialist will play a key role in maintaining accurate employee records, managing onboarding and offboarding, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Job Duties:
- Administer and coordinate employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), leave policies, and wellness initiatives.
- Process and audit payroll in collaboration with payroll providers, ensuring timely and accurate payment and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain and update HRIS with employee data, personnel changes, and documentation.
- Support the onboarding and offboarding process, including background checks, orientation, and exit interviews.
- Assist in developing and enforcing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, and HR processes with professionalism and discretion.
- Generate reports and support HR audits and internal reviews as needed.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- High School diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, with specific experience in employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment and onboarding, and HR compliance and policy interpretation
- Proficiency with MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive personnel information with discretion
- Reliable and able to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
