Job Opening: Mechanic

Remedy Staffing looking for a Mechanic with advance skills in performing maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on production and facility equipment. This role will be on the Southside of Jacksonville.

Shift :  Sunday – Thursday 11:30pm-7:30am 

Pay: *to be discussed during interview*

essential job functions & responsibilities:

• Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
• Perform daily machine change overs, as required by production.
• Fabricate, modify, build and re-build machinery and equipment parts and molds to ensure proper and efficient operation.
• Operate small equipment (forklifts and man lifts), as required.
• Assist with inventory levels.
• Work closely with Engineering on machinery and equipment issues.
• Work on special projects, as needed.
• Perform and document machine and equipment Preventive Maintenance.
• Perform electrical, plumbing and facility maintenance, as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Work extended shifts and/or weekends, when necessary.

education and experience requirements:

Trade school certificate or Associate degree, plus up to 4 years of electrical and mechanical experience.
