Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain inventory flow i.e., loading, unloading, stocking, etc...
• Weigh food products for proper warehouse inventory report as donations come into the warehouse.
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and outside perimeter
• Assist in compiling orders for partner agencies and complete pick tickets
• Pack Emergency food boxes and bags
• Assist in collection of food products from local food drives
• Assist in preparation/ distribution of fresh produce and perishable products
• Notify Warehouse Manager of any problems pertaining to warehouse i.e., pest control, equipment, inventory, etc...
• Assist in maintaining health and all food safety standards according to Feeding America guidelines and Department of Health and Human Hospitals.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse equipment
• Assist with food distribution to families at the Food Bank and on mobile distributions
• Perform all other duties as requested

Qualifications:

• Physical strength: must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to process food orders and make changes if necessary
• Ability to maintain inventory sheets for orders
• Good interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled
