Job Summary:

Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for sheet metal components, plastic components & large assemblies using ProEngineer.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for residential gas furnace components and assemblies, using ProEngineer.
  • Experience designing sheet metal and plastic components required.
  • Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems.
  • Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies and systems.
  • Experienced conducting tolerance analysis of large assemblies.
  • Able to work independently creating change notices and revising drawings for existing product.
  • Maintain ownership and oversight of prototype part inventory, working with the model shop to have prototype parts created.
  • Work with model shop and testing facility to have units updated with the correct components for unit builds.

Production Supervisor

Location: Tyler, Tx

2nd SHIFT and 3rd SHIFT openings

Hours: 3:30pm-12:00am M-F with overtime and some Saturdays (2nd Shift)

Hours: 6:30pm-6:30am Sundays, Mon-Thurs 11pm-7am  (3rd Shift)

Summary:

Responsible for implementing and driving change in a high volume, fast-paced, lean manufacturing environment. Reports directly to unit manager. Interacts daily with department supervisors/leaders in Operations, Quality, Human Resources, Finance, Materials, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement office.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall performance of assigned work group, including safety, quality, cost and output schedule performance.
  • Proactive support of plant wide safety program, including ongoing.
  • Actively support plant programs and goals – In particular with Units per man hour, Recordable incidents, Overtime budgets, customer availability, etc. Identify opportunities for improvement; implement improvement plans.
  • Lead daily problem-solving activities within teams for process improvements. 
  • Drive talent development of salaried team members.
  • Develop department budgets and ensure they are to plan.
  • Coordinate with other functional areas to ensure accomplishment of overall plant objectives.
  • Provide for effective associate relations within manufacturing by ensuring that employment practices are fair and consistent.
  • Ensure adherence to standard work, including plant work rules.
  • Implement plant wide communication plans and initiatives with employees in area of responsibility. 
  • Serve as primary communication vehicle between leadership team and production employees.
  • During non-peak season, will perform additional industrial projects (i.e. standard work, process improvements, etc.)

  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for sheet metal components, plastic components & large assemblies using ProEngineer.
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required. 5-7 years’ experience required. Skills and Competencies: Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. Team player and detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Strong ProEngineer knowledge and experience required including a minimum of two recent years’ experience using ProEngineer professionally.
