Responsible for manufacturing products using safe and efficient manufacturing processes through the supervision of production team members. Must adhere to the schedule and ensure that all quality standards are met.

  • Ensure all equipment is in working order and that working conditions are safe at all times

-         The Production Supervisor will observe the actual set up of equipment or evaluate the evidence of the setup activities; test bottles, etc.

  • Ensure the readiness of all production lines before start-up and supervise all change overs

-         Production Supervisors will start work 30 minutes prior to “your” crew’s start time and not leave until your entire crew is gone.

-         Your crew is defined as all Operations personnel working on the lines under your charge and may include support staff such as maintenance, quality, warehouse

  • Continuously monitor the production process, make regular checks, and adjust equipment or work practices per standard operating procedures
  • Production Supervisors will spend nearly all of your time on the production floor daily
  • Completing required reports, and attending mandatory meetings are the only exceptions
  • The Production floor consists of the filling room, the end of line area, mix, prep, and spice rooms
  • Production Supervisors will answer every maintenance line call possible in order to assess the Operator’s ability or inability to troubleshoot and solve the problem
  • Production Supervisors will be on the floor and present for all critical phases of production; they will not go to break, lunch, or unnecessary meetings during any critical phases of Production
  • Daily and weekly overtime will be posted in a timely manner

 

  • Staff, train, evaluate, and develop team members
  • Coordinate with Operations Management and HR to ensure established crewing is maintained at all times
  • Ensure all team members have minimum required training before allowing them to begin work
  • Annual evaluations are to be performed in conjunction with HR and Operations Management
  • Hold all Team members accountable for individual roles and responsibilities
  • Proactively drive Employee Safety, Food Safety, Productivity, and Quality to meet goals

-         Provide constructive, timely feedback to all team members regarding performance

Know the requirements of each area and enforce them fairly and consistently

  • Post Overtime in a timely manner; by Production Line and Employee Name

-         Daily overtime is to be posted by line and name no later than lunch each day

-         Weekly overtime is to be posted no later than lunch Wednesday of the affected week

  • Production Supervisors will work Fridays; Friday is a regularly scheduled work day even if there is no Production scheduled

-         This is not a 40 hour per week job

-         Non-production work days will be used for personal development, auditing and inspecting the Production areas, training yourself and others, and other means of individual and group improvement

-         Production Supervisors will be willing and able to work any shift and any schedule as dictated by business needs

  • All other duties as assigned
  • Complete assigned projects/tasks
  • Continue to focus on producing quality products in an efficient, effective manner.
  • Maintain a clean & organized work space.
