Remedy Professional Services is currently aiding in a search for a full-time, direct-hire Buyer/Planner for our client. This position will work the day shift.

 

Our client is an ITAR registered, ISO- and AS9100-certified shop in Rochester. This is an exciting time for our client, as they’re undergoing a major transformation, purchasing new machinery, etc.

 

The Technical Buyer reviews, analyzes and executes ERP (Syspro) generated material plans in support of internal and external customer schedules and requirements; ensures a controlled flow of approved materials to meet production requirements in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with existing contracts and long term agreements; works with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing to understand technical requirements for materials, NDT and plating requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Support purchasing team in technical procurement identifying quality suppliers and all aspects of purchasing process

  • Maintains and develops new suppliers throughout North America
  • Review open requirements, monitor supplier performance and implement valid exception message generated by MRP
  • Assure that Purchase Orders are entered and updated within the ERP system in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
  • Assure that problems relating to delivery, quality or pricing are promptly conveyed to suppliers and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Continually work to improve quality, delivery and total costs through programs which improve overall quality of suppliers, clearly define requirements with the engineering department and suppliers and negotiate more favorable terms with existing suppliers
  • Implement lead time reductions with all suppliers, with specific focus on preferred and strategic suppliers

Remedy Professional Services is currently aiding in a search for a full-time, direct-hire CNC Programmer for our client. There are openings on A and B shift.

Our client is an ITAR registered, ISO- and AS9100-certified shop in Rochester. This is an exciting time for our client, as they’re undergoing a major transformation, purchasing new machinery, etc.

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for providing technical expertise and controlling the machining processes in the facility’s machine shop area. This is a hands-on, technically challenging position that will support all CNC and traditional machining requirements across all in-process and final machining operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new and improve existing machining programs using MasterCam
  • Set up, program, and operate 5-axis machines
  • Responsible for the basic upkeep and corrections to programs as well as the associated files, structures, and paperwork.
  • Control, design, and manage tooling, fixtures, and time standard requirements.
  • Review existing machine practices for produceability and cost effectiveness.
  • Proven ability in root cause and corrective action processes.
  • As required, work directly with customers to address concerns.
  • Read blueprints and work orders
