Reputable local non-profit organization looking for a Senior Communications Director!

Job duties:
- Operate as a strategic partner in organization overseeing communications efforts in dynamic and diverse environment
- Bring media relations expertise and drive the growth of news placements across multiple platforms
- Work with organizational leadership on communications initiatives
- Oversight of organizational message to the community through media outlets
- Generating content for organization to support the mission
- Proactively research marketing and media trends and contribute innovative ideas
- Utilize data to anticipate trends and stay ahead of positioning of organization
- Oversee overall efforts towards high volume media work
- Recognizing and capitalizing on various communications opportunities for fair and balanced coverage
Requirements:
- Must have at least ten years of previous experience with public relations and marketing, specifically relationships with the media
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
- Must have already established media partnerships and relationships
- Proven track record in successfully placing stories with solid brand positioning in a wide range of outlets
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at a time
Pay: Up to $100K annually, with some flex, based on experience
