Machine Operator
Employment Requirements:
- English and/or Spanish, oral and written, communication skills are required
- High attention to details, safety & food safety
- Mechanical and electronic knowledge
- Basic Mechanical and electronic troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of units of measure
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to stand and/or walk for periods of 8hrs
- Able to work on a refrigerated environment for periods of 8hrs
- Able to enter transcribe, record, store and maintain information in written or electronic form
- Basic Math skills needed for business calculations
- Able to work a flexible schedule accordingly to product needs
Work Experience Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Previous mechanical experience
- Bi-lingual preferred but not required
- Previous documentation experience preferred but not required
- Previous experience working on a fast phase environment
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate daily production activities with Production Supervisor
- Ensure line machines are properly set up before and operating properly and safely before use.
- Responsible to track line downtime due to mechanical problems
- Ensure fully comply with company GMP’S and Safety policies including use of Personal Protective Equipment
- Ensure product is produced accordingly to Customer specifications
- Must possess the ability to operate and do minor trouble shooting for the following machines: metal detector weight checkers, video jets, labeler and machines and PRO SEALS
- Must wear personal protection equipment necessary to the job
- Ensure proper set up of the identification coding and legible printing on the finished good label
- Ensure machinery remain clean and free of rust and debris at all times
- Ensure Video Jet printers are covered at the end of the work day and no moisture is on the film or print head at the time of startup
- Responsible for basic Deli machine mechanical troubleshooting
- Follow and enforce all GMP and PPE procedures
- Follow and enforce any and all additional duties or responsibilities assigned by Production Supervisor or the Operation Manager
