REMEDY INTELLIGENT STAFFING IS HIRING FOR A DIRECT HIRE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC POSITION.

This is a direct hire, full time position in Cedar Rapids.
Shift/Hours/Pay: 1st shift. $20-$30/hour depending on experience.
Job Duties:
- You will manage the company's fleet of vehicles and all mechanical equipment.
- Keep track of the maintenance work on vehicles.
- Will work independently within established procedures associated with the specific job functions.
- Perform inspections on a full range of vehicles, including trucks, trailers, forklift, heavy duty trucks, compressors, industrial machinery, etc.
- Ensures services provided follow safety procedures.
- Must have working knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical trouble shooting, steering, and heating/cooling systems.
- Must be able to track maintenance work and schedules for each of the vehicles.
- Must be able to maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop.
- Must provide own tools.
- Must be able to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, or precision instruments, as well as power tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, or jacks and hoists.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, twist, and all the physical aspects needed to perform the job duties, also including (but not limited to) good hand-eye coordination, endurance and physical strength.
- Must be able to communicate in a detailed manner.
- Valid driver’s license and high school diploma required.
- Ability to travel.
Ideal candidate will have between 5-20 years of experience in breakdown repair, troubleshooting issues, and ability to manage time.
