closeRemedy Recruiting is seeking a Manufacturing Production Manager in Norfolk, VA. You will be primarily responsible for achieving production targets on a daily basis and goals/objectives on a long range basis within the company. The production manager is responsible for maintaining and improving productivity through all product lines, e.g. manufacturing, kitting, sterilization, etc.. The PM also ensures the smooth running of all production lines and meeting high quality standards that are the hallmark of the company.
Responsibilities
Leads a team of employees in a technical, fast paced, deadline driven environment that emphasizes quality.
Recognize the necessity to design, implement and evaluate new procedures.
Instilling a sense of urgency and desire to maximize output on the production floor wherever the opportunity arises, while monitoring productivity.
Identifies, coaches and develops team members through training, performance reviews, coaching, support and delegation as appropriate for their development level.
Establishes an environment that is conducive to collaboration and teamwork, promotes positive employee relations and takes steps to prevent or diffuse conflicts.
Implements and follows policies and procedures consistently and according to company standards.
Able to effectively lead change
Meeting production targets
Analyzing and reporting on production timelines and capacity utilization trends
Ensuring Quality Targets are met
Provide positive, company-centric motivation and support to all employees
Creating, communicating, and holding accountable the following to supervisors:
Ensuring the production staff are properly trained
Ensuring SOPs, Work Instructions, Forms and other Quality Management Systems documents are sufficient and adequate for production staff
Ensuring compliance by the production employees to the company’s quality standards and policies
Essential Requirements:
Flexible, assertive, team player who is willing to help out wherever needed to achieve company goals
1-3 years leadership experience in a manufacturing or fast paced work environment
Proven track record in Lean manufacturing and success in implementation of processes
Minimum five (5) years of relevant work experience with manufacturing firm
Proven ability to meet deadlines and support other departments
Solid company-centric ideology
Orientation to extreme detail and capability of articulating cause and effect with data to support
Strong problem solving and analysis skills
Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities
Understanding of how job performance effects product quality and customer
Salary Range: $60,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience
