Local reputable non-profit organization looking for a Director of Special Events!
Job Duties:
- Manage and execute events and development related meetings for donors, volunteers and Board members
- Coordinate and implement programs and events with other departments
- Strategically plan events to ensure that goals and expectations are being met and all stakeholders are being included
- Maintain relationships with vendors and review contracts and proposals for events
- Coordinate with vendors regarding event logistics
- Manage financial aspects of events area including developing, reconciling and reporting on budget
- Coordinate all event requirements including food and beverage, technical, transportation, security, entertainment, etc.
- Provide content for any written communication for event
- Work collaboratively with other leaders within organization to assess fundraising and engagement needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience required
- 3-5 years of event planning experience
- This position at times requires evening and weekend work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate a professional and positive attitude/demeanor
- Ability to work in large and dynamic organization
- Ability to handle confidential information
Pay: $75,000 - $80,000, depending on experience
