Immediate Controller Job Openings for a Local Manufacturing Company in Des Moines, IA!

Our manufacturing client is looking for a controller with some human resource responsibilities. This is a direct hire opportunity with a great culture. Located south of downtown Des Moines.

Starting Pay: $85,000-$90,000/year + Full Benefits

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday, additional hours may be required)

Controller Duties:

• Responsible for proper recording of transactions including AP, AR, payroll and all other transactions
• Prepare special reports, analyze data and full responsibility of general ledger
• Perform monthly closing and financial reporting for manufacturer of refrigerated display cases
• Preparation of audit workpapers and tax schedules and coordinate with outside auditors to complete annual audit and related tax returns
• Manage the Human Resource functions for the organization including new hires, employee handbook, benefits administration and other HR functions
• Experience with outside payroll organizations including payroll processors such as ADP or Paylocity
• Supervise accounting staff to ensure adequate training and tools necessary to complete assigned tasks

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and CPA preferred
