Reputable company seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator!
Job Duties:
- Maintains current benefit enrollments, COBRA notifications, terminations, and payroll deduction updates
- Verifies and reconciles the calculation of monthly billings; processes and pays benefit billings
- Prepares various benefit reports and extracts data from databases
- Coordinates annual open enrollment, including preparation and rollout of material
- Updates benefit related sections of the Employee Handbook for all companies
- Coordinates and assists with benefits educational sessions, wellness education and events, employee activities, and community service initiatives
- Conducts new hire benefits orientation on an as needed basis
- Performs payroll entry and semi-monthly processing for multiple companies
- Manages workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Oversees the calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including wage and hour laws
- Processes exception payrolls and adjustments
- Reconciles payroll prior to transmission and validates confirmation reports
- Audits time and attendance information from time clock details
- Performs payroll audit for all payroll entries made
- Accurate and timely payment of all payroll service provider invoices
- Answer payroll and other general HR questions from employees in a timely manner as necessary
- Maintains GL functions in the system and coordinates and facilitates changes
- Manages multi-state payroll tax; stays current on tax compliance issues
- Oversees the processing of W-2s and assists Accounting with annual income tax filings
- Formats and analyzes data to create useful and meaningful reports
- Responsible for daily benefit plan administration and processing, including resolving claim issues and servicing employees on benefit related questions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- 1-2+ years of related experience in addition to Bachelor’s degree
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP a plus
- Must have a valid Hawaii Driver’s License and access to usage of a personal vehicle as needed
- Thorough knowledge of State and Federal laws and practices relating to Human Resources compliance requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Pay: $45,000-$55,000, depending on experience
