Our client is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their Fleet Team. This position will be responsible skilled maintenance and repair of automotive and construction equipment.  

Schedules vary based on need and experience | $44,000 - $62,000/yr | DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

Job Tasks of a Diesel Mechanic include: 

• Preform maintenance and repair on vehicles and equipment on both diesel and gasoline engines
• Utilize diagnostic equipment for routine check-ins and needed assessments
• Perform welding and fabrication for repairs and modifications
• Operate tests for defects
• Maintain job order log for maximum efficiency
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Knowledge and Experience:

• Must have heavy truck repair and maintenance
• Can point out automotive defects provide knowledge on proper corrective measures

Required education and certifications:

• Must maintain ASE certification on heavy truck electrical, heavy diesel engine, heavy air break, etc.
• Must have or obtain forklift training certification within 6 months of hire date
• Must have or obtain EPA Refrigerant Certification within 6 months of hire date
• Must have or obtain CDL within 6 months of hire date
