Remedy Intelligent Staffing is currently hiring for a Journeyman Tool & Die Maker for our valued client in Evansville, WI. Apply today to be considered for this great opportunity!

Shift: 1st Shift Monday – Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm; Overtime as required

Pay: $20-35/hour depending on experience 

Job Duties of the Tool & Die Maker:

  • Study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualize product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.
  • Compute dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock for machining.
  • Sets up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shaper, and grinder, to machine parts, and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.
  • Lift machined parts and positions and secures parts on surface plate or worktable.
  • Smooth flat and contoured surfaces and power grinders, and fit and assemble parts together and into assemblies mechanisms.
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances.
  • Examine standard or previously used dies, tools, and jigs and fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part.
  • Develop specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draw or sketch design of product.
  • Practice safe work habits, maintain workplace in good order, and wear all issued personal protective equipment in the workplace.

  • Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Education Requirements: Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Journeyman Status.
