6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday 

Position may include any of the following job functions:

  • Identify plates and control flow of thee plates into the planer.  Initiate and maintain plate markers report. Inspect quality and dimension of plates as necessary.
  • Stencils pipe with information according to standard practices and/or directions from supervision.
  • Assists shipper in pipe shipping activities.  Assists in loading of pipe onto rail cars, trucks, or other conveyances including car or truck set-up, building of dunnage using pneumatic nail guns, etc.
  • Moves pipe through work areas using pipe transport equipment.
  • Grinds surface defects on pipe using a 110 grinder.
  • Inspects ID and OD welds directly after welding to identify visual defects and notify team leader. Grind ID and OD undercuts when feasible. Cut lab test identified by the quality control lab using a natural gas cutting torch.
  • Cut off station cuts pipes off that are identified to have defects using a plasma cutting torch. Grinds ID and OD weld flush after cut off using a pneumatic grinder with a cup grinding wheel.
  • Utilize tools such as, hacksaw, cable, pipe bar, banding and cables, chains, hoists, tractor, forklift 
  • Utilize tools such as fork truck, drum hooks, burning torches, bars, cables, sledgehammers, pneumatic air tools, grinders, crimper devices, etc.

General Working Procedures to be Followed:

  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for accurate input of production data into computer.
  • Assist Maintenance Team as directed.
  • Perform minor maintenance repair and preventive maintenance as directed.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in work areas.
  • All other duties as assigned.

MAJOR FUNCTION

The Parking Ambassador will provide directions and assist citizens and tourists with useful information on parking and activities within the area.  This will include providing assistance and information on the digital apps to assist citizens and visitors. Work requires contact with the public, especially the motoring public.  The employee must be able to exercise independent judgment with minimum supervision.  Work is reviewed through analysis of reports, discussion, and through quarterly customer satisfaction surveys from citizens/customers. This is a full-time position and hours may vary seasonally. 

ESSENTIAL AND OTHER IMPORTANT JOB DUTIES 

Essential Duties

The Parking Ambassadors, in the initial trial, will patrol in College Town and the Enclave area educating customers on parking, local venues, and use of the apps.  When necessary, Ambassadors will issue citations for parking violations.  Employee will be responsible for directing the public to the closest available parking lots when areas are congested for events such as football games and other public gatherings.  The individual will monitor, track and report parking meter malfunctions, traffic signs which are down or missing, and traffic lights that are not working properly. Individual will provide daily written and oral reports for department records and ticket books.  Employee will also provide courteous directional information on how to use the parking meter phone applications and kiosks.  They will advise and be experts on public transportation.   Performs related work as required.

Skilled in operation of radio and other department issued equipment such as ticket writer computer.  Skilled in conflict resolution, de-escalation and interpersonal communication.  Individual must be able to meet adversarial and/or irate customers and be responsive to complaints in a courteous, controlled, and professional manner. • Good oral and written communication skills, organizational, time management and mathematical skills
• Computer proficiency, including MS Office and data entry is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Physical strength and agility sufficient for lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment when necessary

Looking for people with an outgoing personality to collect signatures on a petition form. Locations will vary and will be working in groups of 3-5 petitioners.

This position does NOT required door-to-door petitioning.

  • Associates must meet daily/weekly signature collection quotas.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to manage their time
  • Must be able to work outdoors or indoors
  • May have to work events of a weekend (you will get time off in the week if you choose to do this)
  • Expenses paid for Gas and other job related needs
