Local medical organization seeking a Worker’s Compensation Coordinator!

Job Duties:     

  • Administers workers compensation claims for self-insured companies
  • Participates in programs and activities designed to reduce workers compensation claims and costs
  • Performs duties in compliance with state/federal regulatory agencies and company policies
  • Protects funding by ensuring proactive claims handing, sound reserving practices and judicious use of legal counsel
  • Works closely with supervisors to facilitate early return to work with restriction
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, human resources, health care or related field; Or 4 years experience in workers compensation administration may be substituted for educational requirement
  • In addition to educational requirement, 3 years experience as a Workers Compensation claims administrator, preferably in the health care industry
  • Must have current state of Hawaii license as a Workers Compensation/Limited Adjuster
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of Workers Comp statutes, CDC regulations and requirements, and OSHA regulations

Pay: $65,000-$75,000 depending on experience
