Remedy Intelligent Staffing is seeking a driven Director of Business Development for a valued client in San Jose, CA. This position will target new large accounts, expand sales within existing customer base and implement sales strategies within the team to ensure continued growth and achievement of sales goals. We are seeking candidates with a proven track record of winning new business, exceeding sales goals and leading successful sales teams. 

Salary: Negotiable based on experience

Job Duties of the Director of Business Development:

  • Understand medical device market and create plans to build and maintain pipeline of new business
  • Identify new potential customers, develop and build strong relationships with key decision makers
  • Develop strategic initiatives based on trends, threats and opportunities
  • Generate proposals, negotiate contract terms and finalize contracts
  • Provide information to customers regarding product information, terms of sale, delivery dates 
  • Stay abreast of competitor activity and provide information to management 
  • Manage customer expectations; provide problem resolution
  • Travel to customer sites to develop relationships and obtain feedback 
  • Achieve sales goals 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, Master's Degree preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales, account management and large commercial account management
  • Experience in medical device sales
  • Strong communication and relationship development skills
  • Strong vision and experience with strategic planning
  • Willingness to travel 
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and acquiring new business contracts
