Press Machine Operator (Press Brake Operator) Qualifications:

  •  High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  •  2 - 3 years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing and/or assembly environment.
  •  Proven experience with CNC (Cincinnati & Amada).
  •  Basic knowledge of hand tools such as tape measure, wrenches, drills, calipers, etc.
  •  Basic level math skills including fractions and decimals and an understanding of angles.
  •  Able to read from a schematic.
  • Capable of identifying and determining material thicknesses in gauges.
  • Ability to use problem solving tools to troubleshoot products.

Press Machine Operator (Press Brake Operator) Responsibilities:

  • Operating the Brake Press and other machinery used in the production process, or assists other machine operators.
  • Programing the brake press for first production piece, inspects own work with little or no supervision.
  • Confirming machine set up with periodic checks – maintaining quality throughout a production run.
  • Working in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities.
  • Following established safety and environmental policies, procedures and methods applicable to the work area.
  • Performing other duties as needed.
