Remedy Intelligent Staffing, in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Survey Center (UWSC), is currently recruiting for a bilingual Field Interviewers for the Bridges to Success project. We are currently seeking interviewers in the Rochester, NY area to conduct in-person, in-home interviews of approximately 133 participants.

The Bridges to Success Evaluation is an evaluation of the impact of a Catholic Family Center program designed to help struggling families get back on their feet, called Bridges to Success. Bridges to Success is one of the first initiatives from the Rochester/Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative (RMAPI). The Bridges to Success Evaluation begins with an in-person, self-administered survey with roughly 300 individuals and families in a handful of neighborhoods in Rochester, New York. Participants who complete the baseline survey will be randomly selected for either a control or a treatment group. The Bridges to Success Evaluation will follow-up with participants one and two The position will start with a weeklong training from August 17-20 in Madison, Wisconsin. Once the study is in the field following this training, hours will vary between 16-18 hours per week. The project will most likely wrap up in December 2021.

Pay: $18-21/hr based on experience 

Responsibilities of the Field Interviewer

  • Contact pre-selected respondents, introduce the study, and conduct in-person interviews in the respondent's home or other suitable location according to study protocols
  • The Interviewer will travel around various areas in Rochester, NY to meet and interview participants
  • Interviewers will use a laptop to document information gathered and send in recorded data weekly to the Survey Center for collection 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish (for bilingual role) 
  • Previous experience in an academic setting, a field interviewer role, a research role or very strong experience in customer service
  • Must be 21 years of age and have own transportation
  • Must have high speed internet access at home
  • Strong interpersonal and communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to travel to Madison, WI for the first week of training
  • Ability to type at least 35 wpm
