We are currently searching for experience Production and Food Service workers for a Bakery Associate position at a Production Bakery in East fort Myers. This is a full-time 3rd Shift position (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM), Monday – Sunday with mandatory overtime (associates must be able to work weekends when needed).  Bakery Associate are typically responsible for the flowing activities, on a rotational basis.

  • Remove defective product pieces and space unfinished baked goods onto boards to prevent them from baking together.
  • Perform daily divider clean-ups by removing excess dough from dividers, formers, floor.
  • Sort and orient product top side up on the slicer infeed feed conveyor.
  • Monitor and report defective product in this work area. Maintain control of slicing process and make adjustments as required.
  • Monitor board return conveyor and remove baked goods /product to avoid jams at the accumulator / proofers.
  • Relieve other employees for breaks, as needed, and assist Bakery Operator when required.
  • Collect and track waste in bakery production area. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion, following all guidelines on the Good Manufacturing Practices.

Production Associate - Industrial Bakery

We are currently hiring for an experience Production, Bakery, or Food Service Worker for a Production Associate position at a production bakery in East Fort Myers. This position supports the Production Topping areas as well as Processing and Packaging, by assisting with the fallowing duties in a rotational basis:  Packer, Orientor, Case Packer, Topping Supplier, Work in Process Supplier, Case Erector, and Palletizer. This position requires associates be able to work Weekends and overtime when needed.

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Ensures bagel halves are appropriately placed on the shell conveyor as needed.
  • Packer - Places product in the product tray in a consistent manner ensuring the appropriate amount of product is assigned to each tray.        
  • Work in Process Supplier - Provides a constant supply of product to the processing line.
  • Case Former - ensures an adequate supply of cases are formed and supplied to the line.
  • Case Packer - Inserts finished product into the master case.
  • Performs product rework as necessary.
  • Ensure good housekeeping in production area.
  • Follow Safety Guidelines in accordance with Safe Practices and Job Safety Analysis.
  • Participates in the Work Safe Process.
  • Follows Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Ability to work in a cold environment, 40 – 45 (usually closer to 55) degrees F.
  • Ability to rotate through all positions in the department.

  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Ability to work overtime, as required.

This is a full-time position with mandatory overtime Monday – Sunday (individuals must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays when needed).   The Topping Operator monitors the line personnel, product and equipment periodically to ensure compliance with Company Standards and Policy.  It is the responsibility of the Topping Operator to ensure the equipment is operating sufficiently, that product is being produced in safe and sanitary manner, and the line personnel are following Good Manufacturing Practices and work procedures. Topping Operators are typically responsible for the flowing activities, on a rotational basis.  

Duties may include but are not limited to:  

  • Prepares line for production

  • Requests assistance in trouble-shooting and reports all non-conformances.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience in the operation of industrial machinery, preferred.
  • Good communication skills (English), verbal and written.
  • Computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, crawl, and work in awkward positions.
  • Some level of mechanical aptitude (operator experience preferred).
  • Ability to work in a warm and cold environment 
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and instruct people.
  • Good math skills
  • A reasonable amount of care must be taken while performing each task to avoid equipment damage and equipment downtime.
