This includes open and ongoing communication and accurate deliverables in supporting the Panama City and Orlando locations, while keeping a focus on supporting the business through lean processes and a plant modernization.

 

 

Underlying Activities

  • HR Support
    • Responsible for coordinating with other functions to ensure smooth and effective onboarding of new employees which may include:  IT for setting up computers for onboarding on site, _____, _____, ????
    • Coordinates customer service time to view/walk through issues for PC/OES personnel.
    • Creates and prepares new hire folders and ensures the presenter computer is ready to go.
  • Operations Support
    • Provide guidance and support for assisting Operations workforce in using electronic systems (SumTotal), Tablets and other automation changes impacting the workforce to ensure a smooth and effective transition to more automated services.
    • Serve as a point of escalation to work through problems and gaps in training and HR processes, automation systems, development programs, or issues that are preventing quality and lean business results.
    • Liaise with other functions, other Manufactured Products similar businesses or Corporate support where needed to ensure Panama City and Orlando are aware of and participating in global-wide programs and initiative that enhance the development of local workforce.   
  • OD Support
    • Maintain accuracy, course completions and certificates of training records in SumTotal Learning Management System.
    • Maintain the Panama City training computer lab.
    • Provide ongoing, accurate and frequent reporting on training, competency, competency addendum completions and individuals for local management and the Learning & Performance Specialist.
    • Provide customer service support to support local users in moving towards our SumTotal learning system to ensure local users understand how to use SumTotal system by assisting them in receiving the proper training on how to use the SumTotal system and how to access our LMS system to support users into moving towards our Self-Service model more effectively.
    • Ensure new hires are available in SumTotal before the Onboarding, as per the process and expectation of local sites. Communicate with the Learning & Performance Specialist and HR to locate issues in the process before the day of onboarding.
    • Coordinate the Mentor/Assessor meetings.
    • All outside vendor training courses/certifications will also be coordinated through supervisors, GM, HR and Supply credit card holder for approval and payment.
  • HSE Support
    • Print forklift cards after training and protocols are complete.
    • Until all staff is back in the office, coordinate of the 3 HSE videos covering annual training requirements.
    • Crane recert and initial courses will be coordinated through work center supervisors, GM, HR and Supply credit card holder as required for approval and payment.
    • Schedule safety courses with specific instructors and necessary participants.
    • Prepare for new hire onboarding by collecting the appropriate amount of PPE (hard hats and glasses).
    • Engage in the onboarding of new hires to provide competency material, their 90 day plan and guidance in meeting their training requirements.

Qualifications

 

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
  • Minimum 1 years of coordinating between multiple stakeholders. Experience working in a matrix organization with ability to manage competing priorities and a variety of key stakeholders with influence, excellent alignment skills and ability to integrate numerous activities to achieve business results.
  • Experience with the training and competency development  
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

MAJOR FUNCTION

The Parking Ambassador will provide directions and assist citizens and tourists with useful information on parking and activities within the area.  This will include providing assistance and information on the digital apps to assist citizens and visitors. The Ambassador will enforce local parking regulations and create positive public relations on behalf of the organization.   Work is performed under the supervision of the Chief Customer Officer or his designee for Customer Operations in accordance with established administrative regulations.  

Work requires contact with the public, especially the motoring public.  The employee must be able to exercise independent judgment with minimum supervision.  Work is reviewed through analysis of reports, discussion, and through quarterly customer satisfaction surveys from citizens/customers. This is a full-time position and hours may vary seasonally. 

ESSENTIAL AND OTHER IMPORTANT JOB DUTIES 

Essential Duties

The Parking Ambassadors, in the initial trial, will patrol in College Town and the Enclave area educating customers on parking, local venues, and use of the apps.  When necessary, Ambassadors will issue citations for parking violations.  Employee will be responsible for directing the public to the closest available parking lots when areas are congested for events such as football games and other public gatherings.  The individual will monitor, track and report parking meter malfunctions, traffic signs which are down or missing, and traffic lights that are not working properly. Individual will provide daily written and oral reports for department records and ticket books.  Employee will also provide courteous directional information on how to use the parking meter phone applications and kiosks.  They will advise and be experts on public transportation.   Performs related work as required.

Skilled in operation of radio and other department issued equipment such as ticket writer computer.  Skilled in conflict resolution, de-escalation and interpersonal communication.  Individual must be able to meet adversarial and/or irate customers and be responsive to complaints in a courteous, controlled, and professional manner.
