Description

The Panel Team Leader will be the on-site leader for the Quadristi Panel Builders. The Panel Team Leader is responsible for maintaining production output goals, and supervising shop employees in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• As a Team Leader:

o Manage all day-to-day production in Quadristi’s Panel Shop. Includes focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.

o Embrace continuous improvement mindset; work to continuously improve in all areas.

o Ensure effective employee relations. Escalate employee issues to Director of Engineering when appropriate.

o Manage and track employee timekeeping (vacations, absenteeism, etc.). Ensure appropriate resources are always in place to ensure smooth production.

o Maintain proper inventory levels. Work with Buyer(s) to identify needed materials and ensure all materials are in place when needed for production

o Work with OpEx Manager and Director of Engineering to make employment decisions, and take action as deemed appropriate.

• As a Panel Builder:

o Lay out panels/enclosures following wiring diagrams and schematics

o Mount components into enclosures

o Use Bills of Materials and wiring schematics to wire control panels per specifications

o Perform point-to-point testing

o Assist Purchasing dept. with material ordering

o Size control and power transformers, conductors, fuses, motor starters, & overloads for motor applications

o Raceway installation and wire pulling

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • American citizen and/or legally allowed to work in USA
  • Minimum 3 years panel building (or equivalent) work experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Read and wire from an electrical schematic and/or Bill of Material
  • Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Have good knowledge of electrical controls components
  • Be dependable and detail orientated
  • Have the ability to perform a variety of complex tasks requiring knowledge of panel assembly
  • Working knowledge of UL508a, UL1995, and NEC standards for panel building
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Must have reliable transportation, be able to arrive at a set time every day, and work 8 hours per day for the specified duration of the assignment, including occasional overtime.
