Remedy Professional Placement is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for a very successful and growing company in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have Started their career in public accounting preferably in one of the Big accounting firms (CPA preferred). Has been preferably in the retail industry. The candidate we’re searching for must have strong operational skills and needs to be someone looking for a dynamic entrepreneurial opportunity.

As a member of company’s executive management team, provide the CEO and colleagues with timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis, and decision support. Contribute in the development and execution of the company’s strategic planning process using financial analysis and modeling. This person will Provide decision support to CEO and Executive Team in all aspects of planning and operations. The company is a family owned multi entity company, with operations covering multiple states along the East Coast. You will have the opportunity to help the company's growth and profitability by joining the integral decision making team.

  • Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
  • Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
  • Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
  • Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with executives to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
  • Provide financial management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting, and CPA
  • 5+ years in progressively responsible financial roles, preferably in retail operations and/or property management
