Shift: 1st Shift, Flex start at 6:30am - 8am  -  A typical 8 hour day. 

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00; Depends on experience 

Job Duties and summary of the Lab Analyst: 

Must be willing and able to cross train in all positions in the QA Laboratory.  Primary internal trainer in lab and maintains training verification program.  Performs weekly QC verifications and completes projects as assigned.  This lab tests meat products for Pathogens such as Salmonella species, Listeria species, Listeria monocytogenes, E Coli, Staphylococcus and Clostridium perfringens.  Test fat, moisture, protein, salt, sodium, water activity, pH, nitrites and total suspended solids.

• Follow approved SOP's and methods in an accurate and economical manner.
• Provides lab job coverage or assistance willingly
• Takes initiative in maintaining the laboratory and providing coverage
• Utilizes good time management skills
• Completes training assignments effectively
• Solve work problems in a professional manner

• BS Degree in Microbiology or related field is required
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a food laboratory
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC Standard 17025 and "GLP's"
• Strong computer skills
• Knowledge of basic statistics
• Good problem solving, time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
