• Performs final product inspections, generates customer required documentation, reviews documents for accuracy and releases product for shipment. Forwards customer documentation to specified personnel.

SUMMARY

As part of an overall manufacturing team, be able to perform all aspects of the operation of the Die Cutting machine at the Safest and highest quality levels. Assist in other areas when needed. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Die Cutter. Ensures the material being formed and cut meets the customer’s specifications through quality testing. Ensures compliance to Safety and GMP/SQF requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use the proper personal protective equipment required to perform the job duties.
• Operate one or all Die Cutting Machines as a member of the production team who is multi- skilled and cross trained on all department process equipment.
• Work as a team with fellow team members to achieve the departmental goals in safety, quality, and efficient operation of the equipment.
• Demonstrate expertise on all required Die Cutting equipment and processes.
• Must be open to 1st or 3rd shift
• 12 hours shift 3-2-2-3

• 1-2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Plans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing computerized numerical control machining centers to cut, shape, or form metal work pieces to specifications by performing the following duties.
• Shift flexibility
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Interprets basic drawings, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be done.
  
• Performs a variety of milling, drilling, boring, and turning on CNC machining centers or related operations to close and interrelated tolerances.
• Reviews OCS/OS sheet and specifications to determine machining sequence, tooling requirements/changes and dimensions of finished work piece.
• Makes offsets and adjustments as required to compensate for tool wear or tool changes.
• Performs a variety of inspection and gaging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications. (metric and inch).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

• Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost are prioritized by working closely with the Work Center Lead
• Read and understand packing slips, pick lists, bill of ladings, bill of materials, and blueprints
• Receive and package parts per standard operating procedures
• Read, understand and execute all applicable SOPs
• Operate computers/tablets, CRT terminals, printers, scales, and wireless scanners
• Assist purchasing and parts sales with identification, inventory counts, and receiving information
• Operate material handling equipment such as lift trucks, order picker, and turret trucks to stock and retrieve materials at storage locations and to load/unload trucks.
• Communicate clearly when interacting with fellow employees and when completing documentation
• Inform work center lead of low inventory levels (plastic bags, staples, paper, pens, labels, etc.)
• Interact directly with other departments including Purchasing, Warehouse Operations Manager, Parts Sales, Accounting, Human Resources, and IT

• Identify quality issues of components and assemblies and report them to the Quality Inspector as well as the Work Center Lead.
• Preparing painting surfaces by washing, sanding, repairing, and removing old paint.
• Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces
• Handling prep and paint work in an efficient manner
• Calculating the amount of time and material needed for each task
• Taping off areas as required per job
• Read and work from shop drawings, work orders, BOM's, ECN notices, lists or other instructions.
