Now hiring for a Landfill Front-End Loader Operator in Layton, Utah
$15 per hour
Four 10-hour shifts per week
Monday-Saturday (will work every other Saturday)
7:30 am - 6:00 pm
Requires 1-year front-end loader experience AND a valid Utah driver's license
Duties:
- Collects solid waste (refuse, garbage, trash, etc.) from containers and empties onto landfill face and safely clears any jams that may occur in the truck
- Moves processed green waste product back and forth from the Compost pad to load out bins
- Performs daily vehicle inspection and completes required checklist to insure safe vehicle operation
- Identifies and reports any mechanical problems to supervisor and landfill mechanic
- Maintains and operates the mini loader, which includes but is not limited to daily walk around inspections, safe and observant operation
- Delivers, removes, and maintains district provided solid waste and recycling containers as directed
- Performs other duties or tasks as assigned
