SUMMARY

As part of an overall manufacturing team, be able to perform all aspects of the operation of the Die Cutting machine at the Safest and highest quality levels. Assist in other areas when needed. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Die Cutter. Ensures the material being formed and cut meets the customer’s specifications through quality testing. • Operate one or all slitters and the rewinders as a member of the Production Team who is multi-skilled and cross-trained on all department process equipment.
• Provide leadership to packer in performing quality slitting and meeting manufacturing goals.
• Proficient at process trouble shooting including visual defect detection.
• Provide training to the packer or new employees on all equipment and processes.
• Read and understand work orders for current jobs and upcoming jobs including specifications.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, SAP/ PDC functions for jobs.
• Perform all quality checks and make slitter and rewinder adjustments during start-up.

• Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost are prioritized by working closely with the Work Center Lead. 
• Subassemble component parts such as gears, bearings, instrument panels, controls, and undercarriages. 
• Install components or subassemblies such as axles, engines, generators, fuel, hydraulic, and electrical systems. 
• Perform visual and functional inspections of assemblies and equipment. 
• Identify quality issues of components and assemblies and report them to the Quality Inspector as well as the Work Center Lead. 
• Perform a variety of repetitive and semi-repetitive subassembly and final assembly operations (i.e. sub assemble minor component parts, bolt parts and frames together, make routine attachments to major frame groups, mount tires, install piping and wires, and install weldments).

• Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost are prioritized by working closely with the Work Center Lead. 
• Identify quality issues of components and assemblies and report them to the Quality Inspector as well as the Work Center Lead. 
• Preparing painting surfaces by washing, sanding, repairing, and removing old paint. 
• Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces 
• Handling prep and paint work in an efficient manner 
• Calculating the amount of time and material needed for each task 
• Taping off areas as required per job • Read and work from shop drawings, work orders, BOM's, ECN notices, lists or other instructions. 
• Detect faulty equipment and defective material.

As an Assembler you are responsible for putting together component parts or pieces adhering to a specified set of blueprints or schematics. Requires mathematical, basic engineering, and technical skills to interpret plans. Also responsible for verifying correct quantities of components parts and quality checking completed items. May also be responsible for managing parts inventory and basic reporting. The ability to use hand tools and mechanical equipment is beneficial in this role, as is an understanding of basic engineering principles and a knowledge of safety procedures. Read blueprints and verify the parts required prior to assembly. Assemble components accurately, and thoroughly too approved specifications. Double-check connections to ensure they match and notify shop foreman of any discrepancies. Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures Maintain a clean and safe work area Maintain inventory of product in work stations Maintain and service all equipment when necessary.

Plans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing computerized numerical control machining centers to cut, shape, or form metal work pieces to specifications by performing the following duties. Shift flexibility ASTM or ANSI certified steel toe shoes High School diploma or general education degree (GED); zero to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Interprets basic drawings, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be done. Performs a variety of milling, drilling, boring, and turning on CNC machining centers or related operations to close and interrelated tolerances. Reviews OCS/OS sheet and specifications to determine machining sequence, tooling requirements/changes and dimensions of finished work piece. Makes offsets and adjustments as required to compensate for tool wear or tool changes. Performs a variety of inspection and gaging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications. (metric and inch).Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with others at all levels of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to use and interpret SPC data as required and read prints. Must be able to calculate metric and standard measurements. Knowledge of basic measuring and testing equipment. Practical understanding of workplace 5S and Lean manufacturing principles. Implements and sustains Lean initiatives for improvements in quality, cost, delivery, and safety

What You’ll Do As A Knit operator:
• Visual inspection of yarn
• Set up and operate textile machines that perform weaving operations
• Cleaning and Doffing weave machines
• Observe woven cloth to detect weaving defects
• Repairing minor material stops on weave machines
• Examine looms to determine causes of loom stoppage, such as warp filling, harness breaks, or mechanical defects
• Remove defects in cloth by cutting and pulling out filling
