General Laborer/ Buffalo, NY/ 1st Shift
A General Laborer is needed for a growing Buffalo, NY Manufacturer to provide assistance as needed to keep production running within the facility.
Shifts:
1st: 5:30am – 2:10pm Monday – Friday (hours somewhat flexible)
Responsibilities:
- Assisting molder(s) by getting various supplies as needed. {ex. Flasks, bottom boards, cores}.
- Moving molds on to the roller conveyor in position for pouring.
- Applying mold jackets and weights per ROUTE CARD and/or supervisors instructions.
- Skimming metal and add Feedex if required.
- Removing mold jackets and weights when molds are cooled.
- Rolling molds to end of conveyor and carefully shakeout casting for sand.
- Placing the gate and/or castings on a skid or in a basket.
- Knocking sand into the floor grates and taking castings to shakeout and cutoff area.
- Shaking out air set molds and cores.
- Shoveling sand around molding area as needed daily and sweep the main molding area and production floor.
- Performing additional duties and assisting where needed
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift and place molds carefully to avoid damage to molds.
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds
