Refrigeration Technician responsibilities:
- Areas of Responsibilities
- Builds, modifies, and/or maintains test/prototype units (mechanical and electrical)
- Performs testing procedures per company standards and accurately record data as required
- Performs preventative maintenance & repairs on all test equipment
- Gives input for laboratory methods and equipment
- Maintains effective communication with laboratory team to assure performance of duties
- Proactively engages in safe working habits, complying to safety policy, procedures, and instructions
- Proactively maintains cleanliness of work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss
- Key tasks
- Safely wire (power, controls, and instrumentation) test/prototype unit per manufacturers specifications and applicable industry standards
- Comprehensively manage test/prototype unit refrigerant charge per manufacturers specifications and applicable industry standards
- Maintains/stocks lab area
- Builds special tooling & prototypes for project tasks according to given drawings / instructions
- Manages disposal of waste according to given procedure
- Supports ADC initiatives by assisting with assigned projects
- Performs other reasonable/related duties as assigned or requested

- Maintain test facility in good working condition (cleanliness/maintenance); test facility availability above 98%.

- Minimum requirements to educational background
- Minimum 2 yr. A.A.S. degree in HVAC or a related field
- EPA-Approved Section 608 certification (Universal)
- Fork truck training/license (preferred, company will train)
- Man lift training/license (preferred, company will train)
- Rigging training/license (preferred, company will train)
- Strong hands-on capability
- Minimum requirements to working experience
- Five years related mechanical test lab experience or field service experience
- Good PC skills – electronic mail
