Local organization seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join their team!

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for security administration and monitoring to ensure that all Information Systems are secure
  • Plans, implements, tests and maintains all hardware and software applications
  • Documents technical computing and end user procedures
  • Serves as the help desk and assists with user requests
  • Provides system analysis, documentation, and administration processes for workstations and network systems
  • Monitors and recommends upgrades or software patches
  • Verifies that existing system configurations adhere to the established standards or guidelines
  • Researches, analyzes and recommends alternatives and/or solutions to operational or security issues
  • Upgrades the network infrastructure on premise cloud migration, VDI and Office 365 remote workflow
  • Provides technical guidance and train personnel on the use of IT and security hardware and software
  • Monitors system logs, provide system fault/vulnerability escalation and conduct systems investigation
  • Tests and review IT systems and applications for security vulnerabilities
  • Ensure the existing IT and security configurations adhere to the established Cybersecurity policies, procedures and standards
  • Reviews new IT projects to ensure the security or mitigating controls are in place
  • Analyzes security hardware and software to determine security applicability
  • Perform as a backup to the IT Manager by overseeing, cross-training and providing guidance to team members
  • Other duties include project management, analysis, documentation, and reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and 5-10+ years including system administration for Windows 10, Windows Server, Microsoft Office and Office 365, Active Directory and Exchange and VMware
  • Previous experience securing LAN and WAN internetworking technologies as well as connectionless oriented systems
  • Knowledge of various networking technologies basic Cisco CLI
  • Previous experience installing, configuring and administering Windows Server, SQL Server, Print Server, IIS, Linux Distributions (Red Hat, CentOS), Enterprise WIFI application, Mobile Device Management (MDM) System
  • Previous experience configuring and administering UCaaS
  • Previous experience in network administration, hardware and software maintenance, disaster recovery planning and LAN/WAN support
  • Previous experience with Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Salesforce
  • Previous experience administering SAN technology, SMB and storage networking
  • Previous experience administering, maintaining, and monitoring security devices specifically Firewalls, IDS/IPS, email and Internet filtering systems, and network monitoring software
  • Neighbor island travel is required for the position and must have a valid Drivers license
  • Previous experience in VMWare, Active Directory & Exchange, Microsoft Office/Office 365 and Windows 10
