Description

Overview:

Responsible for the precise assembly of high-quality window shutters in a fast-paced environment 

 

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Verify and collect all relevant components for each assembly
  • Accurately place standardized jigs into assembly to insure consistent installation of components
  • Perform the safe and efficient operation of the following equipment:
    • Power Drill
    • Hand Tools
    • Tape Measure
  • Verify operation and orientation of hinges once panel is installed into frame
  • Use gap spacers to confirm assembly meets quality standards and adjust components if needed
  • Determine from paperwork if shutter is to be disassembled before shipping and if needed, carefully disassemble the components as to not damage any parts 
  • Regularly check tools/equipment/jigs to ensure tolerances are being met and reduce scrap
  • Detect and report defective materials or safety issues to leadership team
  • Verbally communicate with team members to keep a steady pace and work flow with other production areas
  • Maintain a clean and well stocked work area to prepare for following shift handoff

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • General construction knowledge
  • Keen attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and efficiency
  • Ability to use power tools properly and safely
  • Able to lift/pull materials up to 50lbs
