Responsible for operating machines and performing assemblies to obtain final product. Performs sub-assembly and full/final assembly. May operate simple conventional or CNC machines. Interprets basic drawings, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be done. Reviews OCS/OS sheet ad specifications to determine assembly sequence, tooling requirements/changes and dimensions of finished work piece. Performs a variety of inspection and gaging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications (metric and inch) (i.e. calipers, micrometers).  Performs preventative maintenance as required. Implements and sustains Lean activities for improvements in quality, cost, delivery, and safety.

  • Shift flexibility 
  • ASTM or ANSI certified steel toe shoes
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Print reading, must be able to calculate metric and standard measurements.
  • Knowledge of basic measuring and testing equipment.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or related experience or training.
