Quality Control Inspector

Description

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing inspections during the overall commissioning process, which ranges from quality of raw materials (incoming material inspections) before assembly begins to final inspections and when jobs are completed.

 Job Duties include:

  • Documenting and reporting quality non-conformances and process issues to the commissioning and quality management
  • Enforce quality corrective actions to ensure that corrective actions effectively remedy production quality discrepancies
  • Prepares inspection results records and submits copies of all inspection quality records to the Commissioning management or Quality Document Control Clerk
  • Inspect and approve incoming materials for use in production, by confirming compliance with designs and customer specifications
  • Conduct FAIs, visual inspections and physical measurements, as needed
  • Inspect commissioning assembly and repair operations to confirm compliance with supplier
  • Conduct visual inspections and physical measurements to assure that production results are as designed and expected
  • Verifies effectiveness of quality control inspections
  • Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with company policies, procedures, project Quality Assurance Plans and customer specifications
  • Ensure all work is performed per inspection procedures
  • Perform inspections during production in-process operations and complete final inspections.
  • Initiate Non-Conformance reports as required to document and record noncompliant materials, processes, or production quality results
  • Document and report inspection findings and results to ensure that nonconforming conditions have been resolved
  • Audit and inspect commissioning, contractor and supplier assembly and instruction packages to ensure documents are current and the latest approved configuration

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in quality control performing quality inspections (manufacturing industry experience preferred)
  • Ability to interpret and read production drawings and schematics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and ability to navigate various databases and other internal programs
  • High attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat

Pay: Up to $60,000 depending on experience
