• Tape Measure: ability to read to a 1/32”

• Ratchet – Socket –Wrench: ability to identify SAE & Metric bolt/nut dimensions

• Experience in the use of hand tools: power drills (cordless & AC), grinder, cutting tools, Dremel, taps, torque wrench (measurement)

• The use of assembly drawings & blueprints to assemble product; this includes the ability to reference a BOM that is attached to a drawing

• Ability to identify the physical parts of the BOM

• An ability to understand higher level assembly instructions (from Engineering & Quality)

• Prior experience in mechanical assemblies

• Experience in a manufacturing environment where deadlines and ship dates are met

• Interest in learning new skills and techniques from experienced assemblers while adhering to Quality & Efficiency standards


• Hydraulic assembly and testing

• Troubleshooting of issues with assembled product

• Use of power hoist to move heavy product

• Problem solving issues that arise during the assembly process

• Organizational skills to label and organize the work area

• LEAN experience/training

• Auto Mechanic skills or training

• HSD/GED required
