JOB TITLE: Machine Operator

JOB DUTIES: To perform required operations

  • Loading and unloading of parts
  • Part inspection
  • Electrode preparation and changing
  • Cleans and performs preventive maintenance and minor adjustments of assigned equipment
  • Prepares various logs and records to document machine operation and daily production and enters required data into computer
  • Moves/transports parts to appropriate location as needed
  • Maintains safe, clean and orderly work areas
  • Receives, reviews, and/or refers to various records or reports including travelers, shift reports, SOP, safety sheets, reading work instructions, etc.
  • Prepares labor sheets and non-conformance forms
  • Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals including the immediate supervisor, co-workers, and other shop personnel
  • Operates grinders, micrometers, gauges, various power tools, masking, grit blasting, loading chemical strip tanks and furnace operations, etc.
  • Performs related duties as required

SCHEDULE: Sunday through Thursday 730PM - 4AM (with the ability to stay late when needed)

RATE OF PAY: $12.00 (with an increase once rolled over to the company)

Job Requirements

ALL interested applicants MUST:

  • Have strong math background
  • Have excellent attendance record
  • Have good hand – eye coordination
  • Have the ability to use SPC and interpret data
  • Be able to lift 50lbs consistently
  • Have steel toe boots
  • Be able to work in hot environment
  • Have a fully composed resume to reflect job stability and experience in machine set up and operations
  • Have a high school diploma or GED (original or copy MUST be brought in during interview)
  • Be able to provide valid proof of identity and eligibility to work in the US
  • Have a valid driver's license (position may require some driving)
  • Be able to submit to criminal and drug screening     
  • Be able to communicate and document information clearly in English
  • Be able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Function effectively within a team environment and independently 
  • Be able to perform any other task management deems necessary or needed by the company
  • Be able to use measuring equipment such as: Height Gauge, Micrometers ID/OD, and Calipers
