Remedy Staffing is partnered with a printing company located in Sanborn in search of a quality candidate for their Shipping Team Leader opening!

SHIFT: 7:00AM-3:30PM

PAY RATE: $14.00 Per Hour

Position Summary:

Work as a team with Shipping & Receiving Department associates to maintain continuous safety, quality, and productivity standards. Successes of the Shipping Coordinator is measured via the following key indicators:

  • Meeting customer delivery requirements via achieving quality goals and on-time delivery dates
  • Quality of all outgoing product is maintained at an outstanding level
  • Quality issues are addressed to prevent re-occurrence
  • Accurate and timely entry of jobs/orders into Process Shipper
  • Ability to back up both shipping and warehouse personnel
  • Ability to multi-task and use effective time management
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized Shipping & Receiving Department

Position Responsibilities:

  • Handle all finished good shipment pull requests from customers
  • Responsible for final quality check of finished goods before shipping to ensure that product is of high quality
  • Notifies the Shipping Team Leader of potential problems affecting quality or efficiency
  • Produce all labels needed for Finishing and Pint Size
  • Review job jacket information, i.e., coaster name, quantity, number of boxes, number of skids, packing instructions, weight of boxes, etc., and audit packed product for accuracy via random inspections
  • Work closely with Finishing Department to review any discrepancies of job jacket paperwork vs. staging area product
  • Print and monitor the daily Jobs Due report to ensure everything ships on time
  • Check every blanks shipment for 100% accuracy and quality by inspecting every case prior to shipping.
  • Enters shipments and performs the end-of-day routines in Federal Express and UPS programs when needed
  • Review all jobs for quality and accuracy prior to processing for shipping
  • Check pallet and carton counts submitted by Finishing
  • Calculate overs and email proper order discrepancy form for decision to be made by CSR

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Computer knowledge a must
  • Detail and quality oriented
  • Capable to administer basic math skills and utilize basic measuring instruments
  • Excellent communication skills—verbal and written
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
