Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using area visual board work on product to meeting On-Time-Deliveries (OTD)
  • Ensure required materials and documentation is available prior to start of build
  • Review travelers and DMRs to verify information is complete, accurate, and legible
  • Use respective cell tools to ensure quality is maintained, tools include but are not limited to, Pull force tester, crimp height measurement mic’s, rulers, multimeters
  • Hold regularly scheduled team meetings to review 5S, metrics, and KPIs focused on continuous improvement 
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, continuous flow, kanban, visual controls)
  • Collaborate with other cell leads to identify best practices and to share resources 
  • Perform related duties as assigned by manager or process coordinator
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Supports OT requirements as needed
  • Provide or coordinate operator training to ensure employees have the proper skills to support the product/s they support
  • Maintain employee training records
  • Stop production when required if product(s) do not meet standards
  • Support and update company training records

Job Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 8+ years experience in all aspects of building Cable Harness assemblies.    
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening and conflict management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to set and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Lead and develop team to ensure the quality requirements and on-time-delivery (OTD) are met 
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Proficient knowledge of Lean manufacturing methodologies
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Computer literate
  • IPC-620 Certification or previous experience
