Harlequin Distribution Center in Depew, NY is partnering with Remedy staffing to bring in a temp-to-hire Buster-Folder machine operators on 2nd shift!!

This is an excellent opportunity to start a long-term career with Harlequin Distribution center.

2nd shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm Monday- Friday with possible overtime before the start of shift and occasional Saturdays.

 Compensation: Between $14.00- $15.00 per hour based on previous experience

This position requires processing stock (computer forms) to the required specifications for use on the Bell & Howell inserters. This is accomplished with bursting, folding, cutting and other bindery equipment. Experience in the printing industry is a huge plus!

Responsibilities include:

  • Sets up and operates all folding, bursting, cutting and decollating machines.
  • Prioritize workload for all 4 inserters
  • Reads and interprets the monthly collation plan, header cards and corresponding invoices and reports.
  • Daily, retrieves from the warehouse stock needed for the department and puts away department stock after the jobs are completed.
  • Maintains accurate inventory levels utilizing the PkMS system. 
  • Conducts stock changeover once a month as directed by the inventory forecast.
  • Checks quality of finished products to ensure adherence to lettershop requirements.
  • Makes minor machine adjustments and repairs as required.
  • Keeps all equipment in operable condition at all times.
  • Follows standard operating procedures as instructed and adopts practices and behaviors that achieve efficiency and productivity rates.
  • Adheres to quality specifications within each assignment and performs prescribed quality checks as instructed.
  • Works collaboratively as member of team and must demonstrate support of Harlequin’s Guiding Behaviors when working with others.
  • Follows all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Supports 6S initiatives ensuring areas are clean and free from debris and pallets.
  • Performs marginal tasks as needed.

Education and/or Experience:

  • H.S. education or GED required. 
  • Mechanical aptitude required.
  • Six months to one-year previous machine operation with experience in troubleshooting, setup and operation preferred. 
  • Knowledge of UPC/EAN cover codes preferred.
  • Knowledge of PkMS (or other warehouse management system) preferred.
