Safety: constantly reviews for potential safety hazards, unsafe working conditions, substandard tooling or machine safety devices to insure the well-being of all our associates. • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area, following all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines for each machine as required. • Perform minor day-to-day machine maintenance activities, identify any potential machine maintenance issues and highlight these to the Maintenance Department and department lead/supervisor. • Identify specific materials, components and part numbers. • Proficient in the assembly of wood components as specified by assembly work instructions, engineering drawings and specifications. • Effectively read and interpret engineering drawings to check accuracy of cut or machined parts, checking results of part size, hole and dowel locations prior to assembly • Read and properly use a tape measure and micrometer. • Read and interpret written work instructions and quality specifications. Reports defects or out-of-spec issues through the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) • Ability to follow Global Shop ERP driven schedule; follow standard operating procedures (SOP); post time to work orders with Bar Code Reader device and verify complete component parts at each operation. • Adhere to standard operating procedure (SOP) for rejected parts or rework. • Work to achieve schedule adherence and highlight issues that will impact on-time completion of works orders. • Assist quality department by performing root cause analysis in determining reasons for quality related issues. • Produce work of high quality while self-performing quality inspection on own work and previous operation. • Be proficient in computer operation of Global Shop ERP operating system to complete required works order transactions. • Keeps Team Lead appraised of work flow and highlights any issues impacting schedule adherence.
