Local telecommunications company in the Central Oahu area is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join their team!

Job Duties:

  • Identify and resolve issues to ensure network is working at designed specifications
  • Isolate problems, devises and implements temporary and/or permanent solutions
  • Manage the activity ticket queue - could include shipping new instruments, generates trouble tickets. Assumes 1st level escalation responsibility
  • Maintain DSL Modem inventory and provision modems in Cisco prime Home system
  • Develop records and data base to ensure that all customer records are current, and billing is accurate
  • Ensure service orders are closed on a timely matter
  • Maintain various spreadsheets and prepare reports
  • Manage projects as assigned that affect the entire communications network
  • Performs system upgrades/enhancements as needed
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Experience in telecommunications with hands on experience in switching, transport and datacom (IP)
  • Advanced knowledge of telecommunications and computer system terminology and applications
  • Familiarity with Rural Utilities Services (RUS) practices and standards preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent customer service skills

Pay: up to $22 per hour, depending on experience
