To execute die changeovers and press set-ups in a safe and efficient manner to meet daily schedule demands.
(1) Must be able to drive a forklift. (2) Must have your own tools. (3) Make die changes, punch and brake press set up per work order and assure proper set up to prevent die damage. (4) Recognize worn or defective dies and punches (5) Use hoist to mount coil and thread coil through machine. (6) Adjust flattener if needed for setting coil. (7) Adjust feeder to proper length and speed for part. (8) Inspect part to assure proper forming and length, and other dimensions properties per engineering drawings. (9) Must monitor daily production report per machine. (10) Must learn how to use a kanban or inventory control system. (11) Sign off on first piece QC parts. (12) Perform all other tasks assigned by supervisor. (13) Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co workers and follow written and / or verbal instructions. (14) Ability to work with limited supervision. QUALIFICATIONS: (1) Ability to lift a maximum of 40 pounds. (2) Ability to use hand tools and operate some power tools. (3) Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day. (4) Must be able to read blueprints and inspect parts to print. (5) Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). (6) Must be able to read a tape measure. (7) Must be able to read calipers. (8) Must be able to read micrometers. (9) Must be able to use a square.
