The Mold Maintenance Technician is required to maintain the control of mold setting in injection molding. The role provides support to the execution of the production schedule including anything from mold changes, setups and startups in the plastics department. Responsible for: Duties and responsibilities are not limited to and are as follows:
•Operate of overhead crane.
•Perform mold and/or material changes as dictated by the schedule.
•Perform process troubleshooting
•Works directly with injection molding machines, vacuum loaders, material conveyor systems, mold temperature controllers, tower and chiller system and other equipment.
•Part inspections and various other functions to insure part conformity and quality
•Verify and adhere to process with process setup sheet.
•Monitor and prepare support equipment i.e., grinders, etc.
•Responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process, not limited to, set-up and tear down, troubleshooting and work flow. - Working with production personnel and R&D to ensure molded components meet requirements and makes adjustments as required
•Manages raw molding materials in a way that ensures trace-ability and prevents contamination
•Works with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing Departments during concept, prototyping, and release of new products.
•Ability to operate a forklift, light truck, and other related motorized equipment.
•Minimum of 3 years experiences in the plastic sector; injection molding.
•Basic working knowledge of computer software, email, excel and internet.
