Responsibilities: Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them.
Negotiating and securing contracts to include monitoring progress and ensuring quality of products for company.
Completing market analysis of competitor products, pricing, promotions, packaging, trends, and conducting research to determine the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules and quality for the company.
Attend trade shows and visit wholesale showrooms to find new sources and merchandise. Minimum 4-year degree or comparable experience.
Minimum of 5 years previous experience with grocery or similar market.
Strong knowledge of sourcing.
Ability to recognize changes in the market due to seasonal trends.
Strong customer service skills.
Firm grasp of mathematics and language skills.
Must be proficient in MS Excel and MS Word software.
Pay: $55,000 + depending on experience
